Xeno-Technology or Xenotech is a type of technology that is foreign to a local system. Xenotech is generally used in describing high tech, exotic items such as energy shields in ships where a sector of space does not have them, or personal firearms that use lasers as ammunition in a location where the primary ammunition is projectile based.
The term Xenotech is relative; meaning one system that considers something as Xenotech may be as common as anything else in another.
